Python Programming Language Introduction

The History of Python

Python is a general-purpose interpreted, interactive, object-oriented, and high-level programming language. It was developed by Guido van Rossum in the nineties at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands. Python is the most widely used language for a Machine language, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence. Python has many libraries and frameworks for Mobile Development. Python is one of the easiest and widely used languages for developing many technologies.

Python springs from many other languages, including ABC, Modula-3, C, C++, Algol-68, Smalltalk, and Unix shell, and other scripting languages.

Story of Python

Many of Python's traits originated from an interpreted language called ABC. Rossum wanted to correct some of ABC's problems and keep some of its properties. At the time he was working on the Amoeba distributed operating system group and was looking for a scripting language with a syntax like ABC but with access to the Amoeba system calls, so he decided to make a language that was generally extensible. Since he had some experience with using Modula-2+, he had decided to talk with the designers of Modula-3. Modula-3 is that the origin of the syntax and semantics used for exceptions, and few other Python features. In 1989, during the Christmas holidays, he had decided to offer it an attempt to design a language which he had later called Python.

Have you ever wondered why its name is Python, well it is not from those dangerous reptiles. But actually, Python is the BBC series name. That is "Monty Python's Flying Circus". The designer had needed a reputation that was short, unique, and slightly mysterious. Since he was a lover of the show he had thought this name was great. So, he fixes that for his programming language.
